Whole-House Air Purification Systems Conveniently Keep The Air Clean

During the winter, your home is closed off from fresh outdoor air, which can lead to a buildup of harmful dust and contaminants. This can be especially hard on asthma and allergy sufferers. One possible solution to this problem is a whole-house air purification system.

Whole-house air purification systems use air filters placed inside your duct system to collect unwanted contaminants from the air. There are several variations, with some systems using HEPA filters or some other form of mechanical filtration, and others using electronic air cleaners to pull contaminants from the air. UV lights are also utilized in some systems to kill microorganisms.

Whole-house systems provide several benefits over room-by-room units, such as filtration of all of the air that enters your home, and the ability to catch a larger portion of the contaminants in the air.

Consider the following benefits of using a whole-house purification system:

  • Improved air quality
  • Fewer bacteria and mold particles in the air
  • Less dust floating inside your home
  • Higher filtration levels
  • Fewer odors and chemical vapors

For best results, clean or replace the air filters inside your purification system every few months to allow free airflow and eliminate unwanted particles from your home.
